2 in 1 Bracelet (Looped or Linked)

This is a very easy and quick bracelet.
I am sure that you have all seen the latest fad: the Rainbow Loom Rubber-band Bracelets.
The Infinity Bracelet pattern looks a lot like them, and it also has little bands that are linked together.
This pattern however is all in one.  It can be left open and is cute with the little loops.
Or it can be linked and it will look a lot like the rubber-band chains.
It has a fan at the end, which makes a great button closure.
The bracelet can be made to fit the size of wrist that you need.

Abbreviations:
~ = Approximately
Ch(s) = Chain(s)
FO = Fasten Off
Inc = Increase with 2 single crochets into one stitch
Lp(s) = Loop(s)
Sc = Single Crochet
Ss = Slip Stitch
Materials:
Sugar and Cream Cotton ~ 6 yds.  Various colors
5.00 mm / H hook
Large rounded needle to weave in end yarn

US Terminology

Gauge is not crucial.

Size: Can be adjusted to wrist size

Pattern Notes:
Add or subtract the number of loops or adjust hook size, if you want a larger or smaller one.

You can use just about any type of yarn or thread or hook.  Just measure the length to fit the wrist.  I used cotton because it is soft and easily washable.

Bracelet Loops:
Row 1:  Ch 11, Ss in the 1st ch.  (This is the first loop and also the button hole).
Row 2:  Ch 10, Ss in the same ch.  (2 ch-lps)

Row 3:  Ch 12, Ss in the 10th ch from the hook (skip first 2 chs).
Rows 4-9:  Repeat row 3.  Do not FO. (9 ch-lps)

At the end or row 9, make sure that it fits comfortably around the wrist.
It is measured from the last stitch made to the middle of the first loop.
You can add or subtract a loop to make it larger or smaller.
Remember that the yarn stretches a bit.
Fan Button Closure:
Row 10:  Ch 2, 3 Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.  Turn.  (3 sc)
Row 11:  Ch 2, Inc in each st across.  Turn.  (6 sc)
Row 12: Ch 2, Inc in each st across.   FO and weave in the ends.  (12 sc)

The bracelet can be worn with the loops free.
Or you can link them.
How to Link the Loops:
You can use a crochet hook
Or pull the loops through with your fingers.

Start at the Fan-Button end:
Insert hook through the first loop (closest loop to the fan).
Pull the second loop on the chain through the first one.

 Then pull the next free loop through the second one.
Continue to the end and pull the last one through.  (Last loop is the button-hole).

Fold the Fan-Button in half.   And fit it through the Button-hole Loop.
